I think you could supercharge for less than that . . . even with the urd 7th injector. Ive seen several complete supercharger kits for sale over the past few years on cg for 1200-1500. Then what, 700 for the injector

Let me know if you come across one, I purchased a SC about 5 years ago for $700 and turned around and sold it to Australia for $1600.....(rule #1 if you can double your money....sell) I was hoping to perhaps sell this truck and get into a similar aged UZJ100 or and FJ60.

So I'm thinking, and awaiting a few answers 05-07 2uz with 6spd manual from a taco/fj ........ Or 5 spd. That fifth gear is nice especially for cruising, I'm wondering about my 4.88 gears though might need to go back to 4.56.

Sourcing a manual for the 2UZ might be another task on its own. I hear the 6-speed from the FJ/Tacoma can barely hold up to the power of a stock 1GR. It would not survive very long behind a 2UZ. It just seems to be a pretty bad transmission.

I swapped in another 5vz from a Japanese Importer out of Miami......it runs like a sewing machine.....27,114 miles to date. 373,000 on the 4R.

What was the jdm differance? Anymore power?

Ol'Blue, it is hard to say....being a younger motor I would say sure. But I have headers and a low restriction exhaust behind that......she's not fast but she's not slow either. The 4.88's keep the off the line power similar to stock and she seems to hold higher speeds much better (90-110). Granted I don't visit the triple digits often but she is capable and is punchy at high Rpm's.
