4" center info screen in color, also directions at a glance







8" screen or better yet, the 12" from the lexus models. 12" probably wont be touch screen since you would have to set it into the dash farther away. 8" shown.

Shows how up-to-date I am . That mini direction info screen is sure real nice! But imagine the nightmare for people who like to install aftermarket head units?

i really like the mini 4" screen quick nav directions, etc. every afternoon on the way home the sunlight hits the 6" screen just right to wash it out completely so you can see a dam thing.

That is very disappointing to hear. I recently drove a 2014 RAV4 and the outside light glare completely washes out the screen. I wonder if there is a film (anti-glare) that you can apply to avoid this?? My screen on my NAV NEVER washes out. Having that said, this wouldn't stop me from getting a '14 Limited. I really like them.

About that mini-screen in the cluster: You know it's only a matter of time before that trickles down to "lesser" Toyotas. The 4Runner Limited is about $50K, I don't see why it wouldn't eventually get it (if it isn't discontinued soon). If someone wanted have this feature, you would have to "retrofit" the cluster (fitment and especially connectivity issues would most likely kill this idea), I assume one would have to retro the NAV unit as well. (NAV unit communicating with the mini-screen). Anyway, very cool.

thats going to be the issue with the wash out. if your going to have a touch screen, it has to be front and center for touch use which leads it to being in direct sunlight.

on the lexus 12" screen, its recessed into the dash and you use a remote mouse to navigate the screen. its a trade off. even when i use the garmin on the dash, i still get a wash out depending on the sun location. the only place i can put it that doesnt get sunlight directly is if i put it as close to the roof as i can or into a cubby hole out of direct sunlight.
