For those who are thinking of installing the TRD skid, I am almost certain you can reuse the rear bolts from the existing skid. I believe this is what I did and I have had no issues with stuck bolts.
Same here with no issues.

Anyone have a source for the front bolt retainer washers?
I just purchased an SR5. Do all 4Rs have this problem? Are the bolts steel? I know about galvanic reaction with aluminum and steel. Even stainless steel will cause reaction. I believe titanium will not. I will do some research. That and I will J-B Weld the spacers in place. The engineers failed miserably for these two design flaws.
i didn't have any issues using the bolts hat came with the Pro skids. took out radiator support brackets and the Pro skid fit perfectly with the supplied bolts. took specified Torque too. this is my 2020 TRD OffRoad with KDSS. The SKID itself is from 2019-2020 model with plastic letters.
Thought the TRD aluminum skid was not compatible with KDSS but you say you have KDSS. Was it a straight remove and replace or did you have to modify the TRD AL skid plate? Thanks and Happy new year everyone...cheers!
Both sides of the TRD skid plate will need to be notched or trimmed in order for it to work on a KDSS-equipped T4R, to clear the larger anti-sway bar.
I personally do not have a TRD skid plate. In my research for it, I have run across several members who've trimmed one, some use notches, others a straight across trim. I'm pretty sure I've seen youtube videos on trimming the TRD skid also. Check out post #110 by niadh0, there's photos of a trimmed TRD skid, showing both sides. Trimming method seems to be a matter of taste.Which type of trim did you do (the U-notch or the one where the sides looked to be trimmed off) - would you be able to post some photos (I'm in the same boat). Also with the trim are you worried debris can get in from the sides?
Question for those who reused the stock rear bolts. How have they held up? I'm wondering about long term. Have the stock rear bolts backed out on you while going down the road? Do you need to check that they're tight often?
Just got a TRD skid, the only thing I don't like is the gap where the plastic OEM cover was located. Anyone have any additional pics of the way you cut yours to use with the TRD skid?
