Iggee Custom front synthetic leather seat covers installed

wow those look great and looks like it was about time! I've got a 97 limited that needs reupholstering and plan on just having it done down here in baja but haven't given any thought about material. what do guys think about comfort and durability? I don't so much care about looks.

If you look at my photos I added, they are after few weeks. I have not touched them since install. They fit real snug, you cant tell they are covers getting in or out. Like I said everyone thinks I had them wrapped or replaced.

So how are these seat covers holding up? Any regrets or issues? How's the comfort now that temps are warming up?

I'm still very much considering these.

Love them. Holding up perfect so far. We haven't had a hot day in CO yet. Going on two full weeks of rain.

Silly question, but could one install these in place of a fabric seat cover? I.e. Switch your seat over to syntheic leather?

Yes easily. And just to add they are holding up awesome. Still look like new and everyone things they are stock.

Just quick update to the thread. Just noticed the drivers seat where you get in and out has started to tear. Thats only 4 months in. They dont hold up that well. I know my lift, my fat ass, and how much I drive didnt help. Also where it tore is where the seat foam is missing. Will post a pic later.

That sucks. My 16 yo fabric seats are in really good condition. It's just the D/S foam is too soft for my liking now. I'm gonna switch it out with the P/S foam.

Im sure it would have lasted a bit longer with replacement foam. The space was causing it to ripple up in that location causing the tear im sure. But again they could have held up longer than 4 months. The originals lasted 15+ years easy im sure. But cant expect much from cheap fake leather I guess.

Bumping this. I ordered a set in charcoal after Iggee first-class mailed me some color samples. Charcoal looks like a pretty good match for the Moon Mist interior in case anyone is wondering. I compared their tan sample to the Oak interior in my other 4Runner and it is way too light in color IMO. So far I like their customer service.

So far that little tear I got has not gotten worse. I'm thinking I might have caused it with something in my back pocket. So far still living then and was worth the money. People still compliment me on them.

Just installed them. The sides of the backrest piece look really wavy and saggy once installed, like there should be some foam in there. Is your's the same or should I contact Iggee about this? I'm really satisfied with the appearance and fit of the headrest and seat bottom pieces though. If you don't pay attention to the wavyness of the backrest sides, it still looks really good. Charcoal is a really good match to the Moon Mist/Blue-Gray 96-00 interior.

FWIW, I was missing some foam in areas so I cut up a sponge and put duct tape to smooth the surface.

No mine dont seem wavy, I will have to take a pic and post the backs. Can you post a pic of your backs?

So far they are holding up good. The little tear is still the same. I really dont miss my old seats, thats for sure.

The more you work at it the more you can make it look better. If you take the car seat out and work at it you can get a very tight fit.

Mine are still holding up, just a small tear from getting in and out so much but has not gotten any worse. For the price they are holding up pretty well.

Not sure how much more I may be able to work at them since I already made the headrest holes. I try a little more.

Only thing I may do is get a newer bottom cushion for the driver's seat since the original one's foam is pretty much pancaked after 19 years. Color doesn't even matter since I'll cover it.

All in all I am pretty happy. I would recommend the charcoal ones for anyone with the 96-00 gray interior. It is a pretty nice match.
