I'm in!

Members,

Took delivery on Friday of my Limited Shoreline Blue 3rd Row with Navi 4Runner. I haven't gotten around to posting because I've been driving baby! There will always be that new truck glow in the first couple of days. I'm sure that I will find something that bugs me, but at this point this truck exceeds all expectations. The ride and handling is exactly (I mean exactly!) what I wanted. The interior goodies are awesome fun for the family. My 12 year old son loves his space in the 2nd row. The color is amazing. The package is complete. Again, I'm glowing here, but I would have to say that this has been flat out the best car/truck purchase of my life, and my wife and I took about a year to decide. We drove the Venza and Highlander, and decided that they were not for us for reasons that were about us --not the cars. We drove the RX 350, and loved it, but it lacked something. We drove the SR5 and that wasn't for us. When we drove the Limited, we just knew. Let me be clear--I am a Toyota loyalist so I'm a little biased, but this thing is amazing. I would like to make a point of thanking the members of this forum for all of the input. I love auto forums, but can't stand the ones that only involve complaining. You guys/gals have the passion that gave me the motivation to go in this direction. Pics later.

I know what you mean. We also looked at the GX 460 and liked the 4runner better. The GX has nice appointments and a V8, but the 4runner I think just won us over. It doesn't sound like you are the big off-roading type. I don't plan on taking mine off road and still like what the 4runner offers over the Highlander.

Congrats on your purchase!

Thanks man! Yeah, probably won't do any offroading, but I like the security of getting to where I need to be when I need to be there. To me--and no disrespect intended to Highlander owners--but I loved the soul of the 4Runner, and love it even more since I have been driving my butt off from the point of delivery. I have never understood what I wanted in a car/truck, but now I know--and I want this. I know it's fashionable to praise Toyota, but they got it right with this thing. Big time.
