Just bought 2011 LE, black on black, awesome ride with only 13k miles on it in Colorado and exported/imported it to Canada. 16hr ride and enjoyed it quite a bit, due to the glorious x-reas suspension.
Just got home today and had the import inspection (cash grab) done and need to disable the 'DRL off' option on the left stalk for the lights to comply with our government overlords ridiculous demands.
2 options, I bought the relay kit that bypasses everything and just turns the headlights on whenever the engine is on, seems alright I guess once you track down the required wiring.
However, I'm tempted by the more elegant solutions of just wiring the 'DRL off' function on the stalk to the 'auto' function and thus achieve the same effect using the built in existing amber DRL's. Anyone done this yet on a 2010 or newer? Doesn't seem to be a lot of info, so it seems I'll need to pay for the wiring diagram to figure out the wiring from the stalk.
I've attached some pics to help with what the hell I'm talking about, there seem to be a couple relay modules on the left side under the steering column that seem like they handle the DRL wiring. There is a gray and black module/relay there if you look close that seem like suspects. Any help out there?
