Increased body side damage

I am looking for some advice from anyone who is running a wheel spacer or has the FN Fx Pro wheels on a TEP.
I want to order the FN Fx Pro wheels for my 2016 TEP, but have had a few instances of rocks being thrown, from my stock set up, onto the body side, at least that is what it sounds like. From my calculations, 1.25" spacers will almost equal the new wheel location of the fx pro wheels. I will also be moving to 275/70/17 tires next year, so that may make this condition worse.
I am all about using the runner for its intended purpose, but I don't feel the need to make aesthetic modifications, although I do love the look of that wheel, that will cause issues down the road. If I lived in the dry, rust free west, I wouldn't care. In Ohio, you have to be concerned about rust anywhere paint comes off. White with no clear top coat further complicates it.
I have a set of C4 Fab rock sliders on the way, maybe they will help too, but I'm new to this and have more questions than answers!

Anyone experiencing what they feel are increased rock chips, dings, etc on the body sides from running one of the two setups mentioned? Thanks for any feedback.

I had that problem in a former vehicle, not a T4. Messed up the paint front and rear. No spacers, just big tires on a full size. Maybe fat mud flaps would help??

I would use 3M clear bra material where the damage is occurring. A lot of sports cars with wide rear fenders have it on the front of the wheel well for this reason.

If you end up using the truck offroad .. this will be the least of your worries. Paint will get blemishes.... just part of a truck that gets used.
