i got my subwoofer installed!! it's an infinity basslink and words cannot express how awesome it sounds. this is THE best stereo mod i've done so far. it is crisp, clean and clear and doesnt take up too much space.

plus my HU controls it via an aux sub input, so i didnt need to use the basslink's remote!

hey lee! first off, i am glad to see i am not the only one who doesn't use the factory floor mats for winter use. mine aren't even in the truck! haha.

and about the sub. how is it anchored? bolted? only reason i ask is because you mentioned wanting it ready for off road use. is it going to interfere with storing the gear you need? i have a custom built enclosure in mine that holds 2 10" kicker comps, but i can take that out in a matter of 2 minutes. however, that is a clean setup. that has a built in amp, correct?

yea, its a powered sub... i mainly went this route because i have a 4 channel amp installed.

i got winter mats at the yota dealer for half price. they arent anything special but it saves my carpet!

the sub is screwed straight through the cargo mat, standing. its very solid and doesnt shake or wiggle at all. the sound is so great, i can't believe it.

as for gear for offroading, i dont need that much of it considering i do really wussy trails right now.

i have a design ready on a custom storage box for the rear that will protect the sub, and make use of its location by making it into a shelf.

i thought about the whole removal thing, and i can still do it.

i just doubt i will till i have to.
