Infinity Kappa 32.9 cf substitute

I ordered Infinity Kappa 32.9 cf for $70 from SonicElectronix for the phase 1 of my car audio project. I was told today they are out of stock. I can get it from amazon for $100 including shipping. Before I spend almost doubled price for the same thing (2 years ago), I wonder:

1. If any other brand will have similar result and price.
2. What about Polk Audio DXi350 3-1/2" 2-way car speakers?
3. What about to use componet set on dash and front door?

I installed the REF-3002cfx instead of the 32.9cf. I actually went Infinity reference X series all around for me, thought if you are willing to spend that much already, why not spend a little more and get better yet.

Check the sensitivity - you want the numbers to be similar or same...

Otherwise your dash speakers might be way too quiet at the same volume to mesh with the rest of the system.

Kappa is actually a higher level series then Reference. Also, they are less sensitive than the stocks so they will play softer. Depending on what stereo you have, effect varies.

I have already had both, so when it came to the 4R I already knew which of the two I was going to use. I had the 32.9cf's in my FJ and the REF-3002cfx in my Tundra, my ears were the judge. Get whatever makes you feel better though...

The higher the power handling, the more they require an aftermarket amp to power them. A speaker with lower power handling will work better with the stock system. However if you are adding amps, match them to the speakers (alittle overpowering is OK and typically sounds great)
