Discount Tire needs your assistance!

As some of you may have noticed, the matte black and matte bronze Level 8 Guardian has been discontinued. However, we have the opportunity to bring this model back to life under a new gloss black with ball cut machined windows finish (pictured below).

What we want to know from you is:

  • What do you think of the gloss black with ball cut machined windows?
  • Is this a model you would purchase for your vehicle?
  • What year and model 4Runner do you own?
  • From the sizes noted below, which would you prefer for your vehicle?

I've looked at Level8 wheels several times precisely because of the lack of bling, but this is blech! Do not like it, would not buy it. 1985 4Runner, 1999 4Runner, 2001 F150.

I'm sure they'll sell really well in Southern California.

Personally I don't think they're appealing at all. The dots on the rim (I am sure it's just the picture, and they're actually bolt heads or something, but they look like someone just poked the rim with a drill), and the polished "windows" make them look really cheap.

They'd look worse as they scaled down... Probably wouldn't look too terrible with a 37" tire wrapped around the 20" version of the wheel on a full size truck. I think that'd need to be your target demographic.

I own a 99 4Runner with 285/70R17 Duratracs from Discount Tire. I wouldn't consider these wheels for a second.

For what it's worth- I think the Level 8 MK6 is one of the best looking aftermarket wheels.
