Installed Billy 5100s last night

What a pain in the butt!! Got the original out in about 30mins, and another 30 to remove springs off the shock and get the new one in...but hours to get the new shock/oldest spring back into place. Only went up 1.25" on the front but hooooly crap it was so hard to get the bottom of the shock into the mount. Just awful. On the passenger side I had to disconnect the lower A-Arm from the spindle and it still so barely went in. Took hours to got it done though, and the ride is great as well as the height.

Was there any trick or something that I missed to get that shock in there easier?

Nope, its just a PITA unless you're working in a legit shop. Rear ones were cake, front ones were a whole different story.

I had my fronts set at 2.5". Helps with an extra person.

Yup... had to use a long breaker bar, and a buddy to stand on it, to leverage the LCA down far enough when I installed my Toytec Ultimate lift a week ago. I feel your pain...

Even with breaker at and second person, the Lca just stopped moving at some point. No idea how you could squeeze more lift out of it.

I did it by myself no problem at all.

Put a crowbar in one of these holes, kneel on it and the strut will slide right in - even set at 2.5". I've done it 4 times this way. Piece of cake!

I followed the instructions posted here by antman (and another Maryland member, whose name I can't remember) and was pleased as to how easy it was.

Agreed. My Icons went in with little effort. The rear was more of a pain because I actually put the sway bar back on.

Interesting. I unbolted the spindle even so it was completely free and when i pried the lca down it would stop moving with no room to spare. Where is this awesome instruction you guys are talking about
