If you're lucky. Some base model trucks have factory tach wiring, some don't, and I don't know any way to tell the difference. Stick the cluster in there and see what happens - if the tach doesn't work, it's not that hard to run a tach wire from your ignition coil through the firewall to the back of the cluster. You will need to change your oil pressure sender from the on/off switch on the DLX trucks to the potentiometer style that came on V6 trucks. Do this before you hook up the new cluster, because if you turn the key with the new cluster and old sender it'll burn out the gauge pretty quick.

Also make sure that the cluster you pick up is from the same motor as your truck - 4cyl tachs take a different signal than v6 tachs, and you can adjust it but it's supposed to be a PITA. Easier to get the right cluster in the first place.

Look under the hood before you pull it? :)

Sorry, I don't know if there's an external difference between the V6 and 4cyl clusters. Maybe somebody else does.
