I think therer is a little room left in term of sound quality by upgrading the door speakers. But we are getting to the point of dimishing returns if you know what I mean.
The shelf cannot fucntion if the subbox is installed per the instructions. However. with a slight modification to the shelf, I think it can be made to function again. It is just a hair to wide on the right/passenger side, but I think if I trim the shelf a 1/2 inch in one spot it will work again. I'll let you know if when that is complete.

hey thats pretty cool how you are going to hide the amp but a couple things to think about. just from having multiple custom systems with many different variations did u consider with that small amount of space behind there where the custom bracket is, the amp is in and the side panel will go over. when you play the sub for a long period of time do you think the amp will over heat? are you going to do anything to cool it. what kind of woofer are you going to use, also the pro wedge is an awesome box man, JL is the only way to go. i am installing a custom stereo in my 04 as we speak with to 12 in JL W3 and i am trying to post a thread but i just cant figure out how to post pictures. i wanted to see what colors you guys think i should use for my box

Bailey- I was concerned about the small space, but I was going to give it a shot before installing some fans to improve air flow through there.
Consider this...at the bottom of that space is a sizeable vent to the exterior that all cars have that enables air to flow through the passenger compartment from the HVAC system and then escape through the rear quarter panels. So there might be a fair amount of air flow through that fender area. Also it isn't as cramped in there as the picture indicate.
Based on that I was going to try it before wiring up any fans. So far it hasn't heated up, but it is cool here now too.

Make sure you pictures are on your harddrive and not larger than say 600x800.
Then in the bottom area of the page you use to post a reply on a thread...there is a section market "Attach File:" and click in the "Browse" and then find the the picture on your harddrive, select the location and then click on "Submit Post"

Sorry, but I didn't trace it. But you can do what I did, just trace the stock subwoofer box onto the wood, cut it out, and then trim and fit it from there...you'll have my pictures to give you a head start.
