Go ahead and do it. You should be able to re-coup most of your money selling you old bumper.

For all you welders here, how much do you think it would cost me to have someone weld this up for me? I've only welded a couple times, and its been a few years. I don't trust myself to weld this together. And if its going to cost me a few hundred dollars to have it done, it probably won't be worth it for me. Any ideas?

I would take it to a community college and speak with the welding teacher.

I would see if they could take the 4runner into class and use it as the jig weld it together.

It would be a lesson and a half. Using a Mig welder to tack it in place. Using a Tig welder to make the finished welds.

I hadn't thought about that. The high school I went to does the same thing. My dad is driving a Jeep they threw a Checvy V8 into. I'll call around and ask. I've heard rumors in the past that they do the labor for free when you supply the parts.
