intro and tire swop question.

Hello all. Been lurking since I got a '11 Trail Edition last October. Alot of information here and more stuff to add to my "want to do" list.

I also have a 2004 Tacoma DCab 4x4. The reason I bring my tacoma up is I'm curious if I can swop my aftermarket tires from my tacoma onto my 4R. The wheels/tire I have on my tacoma are 15x8 with 3 3/4 backspacing with 32x11.5x15 BFG A/T.

Is it possible to swop the wheels/tire onto my 4runner w/out a lift? The stock tires on the TE seem to be the same height, but a little slimmer.

I did a search, but no specific answers to my questions. Thanks for info in advance.

No, you can't "swap" the wheels and tires. 15" rims won't clear the brakes. 17" minimum.

The Tacoma looks nice! I see you did the lift back in 05', are you still running those shackles in the rear and how have they held up? I only ask cuz shackle lifts scare me :hiding:

Yup. Same tires also. About 80k+ miles on them . I've had no problems with the shackle lift at all.
