Get the angle grinder and hammer ready. You'll probably need to cut your body mounts entirely and hammer back your pinch welds. Not sure what kind of modification you'll need to do to the fender liners since I don't have those. You'll probably also need your caster set as close to +4 as you can get.

If it were me I'd get the caster set to 4 before putting the new tires on. I'd probably also do the BMC no matter what. You don't want your tires to self-clearance on the body mount while you drive to the alignment shop. Also, you may not get any rubbing driving on the street but as soon as you start compressing on the trail you probably will.

I'll be interested in your numbers. I have +5 and +5.1 castor and within spec on the toe and camber. Just be interesting to see what yours come in at. My last alignment was Friday.

So I shouldn't mention that the place where those pics were taken is only a half hour drive from Calgary? I'm headed back there after work with a couple buddies to do a short trail run then should be home before it even gets too dark

how do you like your UCAS? and how much total lift do you have I was looking through your build and didn't see if you did a body lift but it didn't look like it, love all your snow wheeling pics very little snow wheeling in nor cal rocks for days though

would love to see your 5th gen TE attempt to tackle the Rubicon Trail from loon lake to buck island, that would be an awesome run been up there a ton of times never seen a 5th Gen up there and only one other 4th gen. tons of purpose built trail rigs do not make it without breaking, I was with a hemi swapped jk unlimited on 37s and he broke

I haven't even had the new UCAs in for 24 hours yet but everything feels good so far. I've got somewhere around 2.5" of lift and no body lift. Don't think I would ever do a body lift either.

I'd love to do the Rubicon but I don't know if it's in the cards. Pretty long drive from where I am to begin with. Maybe after I go long travel I'll consider making the trek.

You'll love them. I just greased mine over the weekend. Looking at yours proves even more what I thought this weekend, I need to replace the bushings, and possibly the uniball this spring.

I never saw any estimates around replacement mileage. I think it's so dependent on the conditions you're typically driving in. With all the salt and gravel on the roads here in the winter I expect that I'll be changing them a lot sooner than someone who lives in SoCal.

Hah, thanks for the kind words everyone.

Latest mod is in, a North Star deep cycle battery to handle the power draw from the winch. The extra wires are for the winch and the wiring harness for the X-Ray lights.

I love the mods you've done to your truck. Well thought out and obviously functional. One suggestion would be to use an electrical distribution bar (busbar) for your wiring needs. It would help clean up your wiring for the lights and winch. There are plenty of writeups on the net with suggestions on how to make it factory in appearance, safety, and function. Just be sure to fuse (fusible links, fuses, or breakers) everything properly and you'll be good to go! A nice place to start for electrical tech is Mad Electrical.

New Year's Eve run leading a group of Jeeps up to Waiparous falls. Kind of funny when I got through everything but the Rubicon on 35s got stuck and had to winch. Spent midnight at the falls with a fire and didn't get home until almost 5 this morning. Not a lot of pics just because it's tough to get good shots handheld in the dark.

Very cool! Why do you think you got through and the jeeps got stuck? A Rubicon on 35's should be able to go anywhere you can.
