Intruder's build and off road pics thread

Got the full cost on my rear bumper from CBI OffRoad Fab yesterday so I guess that means that they're in production now. Really hoping to get it within the next month.

You will be extremely happy with the 9.5XP. Spendy, but well worth it. This is what I have run in my Tacoma for years with no issues.

I'm trying not to, but I do need to get a matching SCS Stealth 6 wheel for my spare since it'll be visible and also have to start looking at how to mount the rear view camera in the spare.

I'm on the CBI rear bumper list too... Super stoked for it.

Any plan on what you are going to do with the rear exhaust?

One of two things. Either cutting it back (my exhaust tip is already badly mangled) or cutting a hole in the bumper so it exits through the bumper. Actually I think I also need to do a quick check to see what [MENTION=77684]WarnerD9[/MENTION] did with his to see if there's another option I haven't thought of.

I've been looking for a new set of wheels, but I'm too damn picky and I've already picked up my Rotopax for water. I'm "trying" to build a hose and nozzle system for them.

Nice. May I recommend SCS wheels? Not that I'm biased, but Vin is also a great guy to deal with.

I know there are some pretty cool hose solutions for jerry cans out there. Take a look around ExPo for some ideas. Not sure about Rotopax as I'm running Sceptre MFCs since we can get the good non-CARB ones up here.

[MENTION=93894]J-BlickPhoto[/MENTION], Just get the "international" yellow spout. If you look through the rotopax site, you'll see it used for both water and fuel. Especially for fuel it's way better than the EPA POS we get with the red cans. I was never able to get that thing to work (which you.. is how you want things when you need your emergency fuel.. not working).

Installed the new winch on Saturday. On Sunday it was used to recover another 5th gen and that huge burgundy Land Cruiser in a lot of my pics. Very happy with it so far.
 
Went out on Sunday, didn't take many pictures. It was a pretty boring trail and we had a big group so it was hard to stop for anything interesting.

Airing down.


Two dogs, one stick. We had 5 dogs out there running around. Mine was the oldest and is still sleeping it off.





Jeeps getting stuck. For some reason they turned down my offer to pull them out.



Lunch.





It kept threatening to snow but never did.





 
Ok, so there's this one spot that's a real pain when it's slippery. Basically two hills back to back so you go down one hill then immediately up the next hill. If you don't make it up the second hill you're pretty much screwed. This guy slid backwards down the hill and off the trail. Couldn't get out and no winch. So one of the other guys had to drive down the hill and set up a pulley to winch him forward.

Once he got him unstuck we had to pull him back up the first hill so the truck could get another run at the climb. Had to use the full line and an extension to get him back up.

You can see the top of the next hill in this pic. The two guys standing there are quadders who stopped to watch - mainly because there was no way to get around us.

Yep, first time I used it last Sunday was to pull Nick out of some deep snow then a while later I used it to pull another silver 5th Gen TE out of one of those trenches on Lost Knife. Didn't end up using it yesterday though.
