iPod cable

Anyone have a part number for the iPod cable that comes with the connectivity package? I've had mine for less than a week and the cable is already falling apart and I need a replacement. Anyone know a vendor that sells them cheap?

I tried using my normal cable that comes with the iPhone and it won't connect to pandora or the web through the phone. That was my first though also but I've come to the conmlclusion that the one that Toyota sells is different. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.
 
The one I got is a purple 3rd party cable (Gigaware), because f spending more money for the same thing.

I couldn't agree more. You have no problem connecting to pandora, bing, and the other apps using this cable? I've got the nav unit that controls all that stuff through the head unit.
 
Well my phone is an Android based OS. But I connect my ipod classic to it and am able to use all of the ipod based features from the dash nav screen just fine.
 
I guess I titled the thread incorrectly. My main concern are the features that utilize the Internet connection through the iPhone like pandora, bing, open table, sports, etc. I can still access all of my music via Bluetooth and even listen to pandora. I can't fully control them through the head unit which I could do until my cable took a dump.

I did fine the part number. 00016-00062 which is the iPhone interface cable. MSRP is only $13.46 so no big deal.
 
The cable is not your problem. Any iPhone cable will work. The loss of functionality is usually caused by your "tethering" setup. For example, if you have the AT&T grandfathered unlimited data plan, you can never use these features as tethering is not allowed.

If you have a regular data plan, you need to turn on tethering before the head unit can access your internet connection.

That makes no sense. Everything worked fine until yesterday when I noticed my cable was coming apart where the wire goes into the connector for the phone. I have no problem connecting to the Internet, using data, pandora or any of the other features with the current cable which is falling apart but the sound coming from the radio is poor quality, like there's a short in the wire. Everything sounds fine coming through Bluetooth. Simplest explanation tends to be the correct on and in this case it suggests that since the cable appears to be faulty then is probably is. None of these features work with the standard iPhone cable.
