i have a 2002 ipod nano that was working fine (plugged into usb port). thing decided to just stop working and i'm no longer seeing the USB insignia (to indicate that something's plugged in) on the radio screen either. it seems the device has stopped talking to the truck for some reason. my iphone seems to work fine but i dont want to use this as the music player for various reasons. thanks!

I have an older ipod nano as well, every so often it will just stop working in the Toyota too. I have to take it in and plug it in to the computer or an iphone charger for a while and then put it back in the car. Then it works ok.

I have no idea why this happens, it always worked good in my Jeep with an aftermarket ipod interface. But the Toyota USB, not so well.

Reset it

I have this problem with my 80G classic and my HU. Most of time it just needs to reset. it also doesnt hurt to check for software updates either. I do both.
