Is anyone runnin the summit racing black steel 8 series?

I found what seems like a great price on some steel 16x8s, but I want to know if anyone else is running these?

I believe my buddy runs these, didnt clear his brake caliper and had to use spacers to clear them but other than that they are just a rim.

If you're running spacers they may work... I'd get a set from Wheelers Offroad instead, they're not super expensive and look about the same. Here's a link:

Not sure how these are cheaper!? The ones from wheelers are $78.00 each. That would be $312 plus shipping or pick em up. The ones I found on ebay are $232 shipped.

The ones from Wheelers clear your calipers so you don't have to buy spacers.

Re-read my post: I didn't say they were cheaper than the Summit Racing wheels, I just said they aren't too expensive...$312 is pretty good for quality wheels guaranteed to fit, even before shipping.

The summit ones are fine IF they fit, I just know from experience that they don't fit some 4Runners without spacers, but some may be able to run them. And if they don't fit, you're stuck with return shipping or trying to sell on C-list yourself. Not worth the hassle/uncertainty to me.

But if you're dead set on these (and haven't ordered yet), you can also go through Summit Racing's website rather than their ebay account, for the same price. That might not matter since both routes are through SR, just thought I'd let you know. Anyway, good luck if you decide on them, & let us know if they fit or not and some specs on your 4Runner to help anyone who sees this thread :hatsoff:
