Are you referring to the amber lights in the corners of the bumper, next to the fog lights? Sorry, I always get all the different types of lights confused: DRLs, parking lights, marker lights.

Anyways, Im pretty sure you have DRLs, so maybe a fuse is blown or both bulbs are burnt out?

In 06+ models the headlamp assembly has some kind of DRL/marker light in it but your 05 should have the amber lights next to the fog lights.

My concern is this. I checked the bulb, the bulb is a single filament bulb, so either the stealership put the wrong bulbs,my vehicle doesnt have DRLS or a fuse is out, but how can I verify?

Adding DRLs is probably one of the easiest and cheapest mods you can do. Simply swap out a relay. This thread has detailed steps and the part you need (took me about 15 minutes):

EDIT: To answer your last post specifically ... check the fuse The diagram on the inside of the plastic cover should tell you which fuse is for DRLs. Pull it out and see if it is shot.

I'm guessing you just don't have DRLs though. If you have the tan/beige relay behind the fuse box (see the link I pasted) then you don't have DRLs. Just order the black relay (the DRL one), swap them out, voila...

By locate do you mean literally where in the car (it is attached to the back of your fuse box) OR where to buy (your choice ... go to any dealer or buy online. Partznet.com (site sponser) is where I got mine)? This is in the thread I linked above.

Yes .. it is that easy (the installation instructions are in the first post of the thread I linked above).

I think you are confusing DRLs with auto on/off lamps. Two totally separate features/functions. The DRL relay will give you DRLs if you don't have them. It is the same $40.00 part that you would have got if you (or original buyer) had purchased the $40.00 DRL option when it was new. The DRLs are on when your car is on, but you have your lights off. They turn off when you switch your lights on. The DRLs are literally the turn signal lights on the 2003-2005 T4Rs.

The auto on/off lamps (again totally separate function) basically sense the outside light and turn on and off automatically (nothing to do with DRLs) the headlights. This is more involved and harder to put in after the fact. You apparently need the sensor (on the dash), and the switch (which replaces the current light on/off switch on your steering column). Parts aside, it looks to be a more difficult installation too.

My position ... if you don't have DRLs and want them ... it is easy and cheap to get them. If you want the auto on/off lights ... well ... how motivated are you and bad do you want them .

No. There was some discussion (in that thread I linked above) I think on the fact that the bulbs may be different in DRL "from factory" T4Rs. I think the consensus was that there is no reason to change them/swap them out though. Can't even recall what the difference is. I didn't make any changes to the lights/bulbs. Works fine.
