I'm all for buying aftermarket parts in most situations, however for something like a timing belt, tensioners, etc I would use Toyota OEM parts. Better safe than sorry.

I have changed a couple Honda timing belts in the past and have always gone with OEM Honda parts for those jobs.

Stick with oem Toyota parts as much as you can. Especially if the job is labor intensive.

I'd stick with Denso/Asin or Toyota stamped parts, if its not that I wouldn't buy it.

I got a kit from aircabinman (IIRC) for my 3rd gen last year, all good. All parts were OEM and most came in OEM boxes, the few that didn't all came from OEM suppliers for the same parts. I did a lot of research to make sure EVERYTHING was exactly as it should be with the kit, and it was. I would be careful with other kits on Amazon, but seeing as how it's fulfilled by Amazon you can at least return it at a fee I believe.
