Is this sufficient as an air compressor?

Ive seen some guys that carry a small tank in the cargo area of there truck with no compressor. Fill it up before trips and strap it down. They have a hookup to fill it and one hookup with up to a line used to fill up tires. Its been handy if a tire gets a little low or if the trail doesnt have a fill station at the staging area/entrance to refill after airing down.

That's the one I was talking about on page 1. It works, but it's not a VIAIR. As an aside it will also fit with its bag in one of those small plastic ammo boxes that Harbor Freight sells. Don't get frustrated and let it cool down if it gets hot.

Air tank or CO2 tank?

I have not been flamed for a while so here goes.

I know there are a lot of advantages to a compressor and I carry an MV50 as backup. The darn thing takes 4 minutes per tire. This is my main source to air up and it's only 30 seconds per tire and under $200. In 4 minutes I have it put away and I'm looking for something to drink.

I looked at a Power Tank, then put this together. Tank from Beverage Warehouse, regulator from Wheelers, hose and gauge from Amazon.

If I ever gets into homebrewing, I will definitely go this route. I probably will haul a keg out there too. Dual purpose CO2 tank!

Air tank or CO2 tank?

CO2. I cant recall the actual size of the tank, maybe 10 or 15lbs??. His family runs an RV dealership so he grabbed one of the old tanks from the shop.

This is the one I run. I can fill my tires from about 15 psi to 40 in about 3 minutes or so. Very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone.
