Next time I have an "intruder" I'm gonna drive the truck to one of those industrial freezers and tell them to crank it up to like -50 and leave it in there for a week. Kill every living pest in there. Then set it on fire, just to be sure. :flamethrwoer2:

hedge apples go wild on my property and have just fallen off the trees. they work great in your basement to keep bugs and spiders out of the places you dont want them.
i know its colder in some places to spiders are not a problem anymore, just a thought for some of you out in the country that have seen these things.

It's a huge forum for spider lovers (including a forum named "Tarantula Sexing" :naughty
. They have more posts than this forum actually.
The sick, twisted side of me wants to go on a spider-killing rampage, take pictures of the dead spiders, then post there asking for identification of them. But the responsible adult side of me is saying that's not very nice, and that I should respect all types of people, even the ones who have a kind-of-creepy-in-my-eyes fascination with spiders. I am torn.

Problem is, is that there are seemingly several, and they're anywhere. Found one chilling on my Pelligrino this morning as I put it to my face to take a swig, I'm staring eye to eye with a bastard chilling on the bottom of my bottle.
And then there's some in the cargo area some days. and then maybe another one here or there in the passenger side. IDK, it could all be the same guy that I killed today, I just didn't realize how many sightings there were until I started typing.
seeing as how I don't have any particulars in sight - anybody had success with bombing?
Definitely would rather live in fear of spiders than to bomb and forever smell like the terminix man.

I once bought an '89 Supra Turbo that had been sitting next to a field for a few months due to a blown head gasket.
Towed it home and started cleaning it up. As I hosed off the engine bay a single large black widow slowly crawled out on top of the turbo. I killed it and was glad to be done with that, or so I thought. I absolutely hate spiders.
With the car in my garage up on 4 jack stands I noticed each morning, strong, abstract webs reaching from the car to the ground. Crap, more black widows. Every day I would find more webs and kill a few more. Not a fan, especially while working under the car.
I finally posted on the Supra Forum where someone suggested to "bug bomb the S*** out of it!" So that's exactly what I did. I sealed up the garage and placed two bug bombs under the car and let 'em go. Never saw a live one after that.
All told, I killed 26, yes, 26 black widows on that car. They had just made it their home, lucky me.
Anyway, bug bomb was the answer in my case, and what I should have done that first morning in the garage.

I'm glad this thread was resurrected also. I haven't laughed like this or read anything this amusing in quite some time.
Brown recluses are an issue here. Hate spiders, hornets, wasps but like regular honey bees.
Anyway, if something is living in your space like these little turds, just kill them by any means. they will come back and so will their children and grand children just to get revenge!
