What about a color matched Rhino lining type product? you would have the white look and chip resistance. Just another option, because you didnt have enough to think through yet

I think it would be hard to match the peal paint with a Rhino lining. It's got multiple layers so it looks different from different angles/lighting. So it might match from one view, but then stick out like a sore thumb from another.

At the end of the day we know you will eventually break down and get a SW bumper so who cares if you end up painting or not painting :biggrin2:
I have a BP and am seriously considering a Line-X/Rhino covering of that area and the bottom of the front fascia. It would be a pseudo-TE look. I have a few chips from road debris already and the thickness of the Line-X/Rhino would help.

Hit a delay with the bumpers. The front one came in damaged, so I had to have it re-ordered. Just picked both of them up today. I was going to do the conversion over my time off for thanksgiving but I doubt I will find someone that can paint these bumpers it in in one or two days.
Also I have gotten quotes everywhere from 600-1000 to paint these. This BP paint ain't cheap!

Parts painted, workshop cleaned. I'm going to pickup some clips I forgot to get tomorrow at the dealerships and then I'm having a fun weekend...

I'm liking the decision on the paint for the front lip. A little bit of both worlds from what I can tell. Can't wait to see it mounted up!!

Me too, the shop that painted my bumpers did a great job with it and didn't even charge me extra. I have just set it on the front of the bumper and think it really looks sharp.
I have cleaned out every toyota dealership in my area of the clips I forgot to order, I am picking them up tomorrow morning and then will hopefully get underway!

So the anticipating was killing me and I ended up heading down to the garage at 7 tonight. I wanted to start on the front first but I don't have the clips to attach the front painted piece so I was planning on just taking off the rocker panels. After I did that...I kept going, and ended up finishing the entire back end.
I hope the front is as easy as this (although I'm anticipating it to be much much worse) because this was a breeze. Everything fit perfectly and it took me a solid 2 hours without any major problems. I will keep working tomorrow and hopefully have some good pictures up soon!

Yes I called it a night after swapping the rear bumper and doing the one molding piece above the rear wheel well. I'm hoping to get all the way up to the front bumper by tonight.
I had to drive it like this to the Toyota dealership to pick up the clips I ordered and i got some very strange looks...haha

BIG thanks to Harper7, Hbryanlopez, and Phillyd2! They all answered my many PM's over the past few weeks/months and helped me figure exactly what I was getting into!
I kept track of my time, and it took me just over 7 hours to do the entire conversion. Phillyd2 was right on when he said it is much more intimidating than it is difficult. Once you actually get into the project, it goes smoothly. I took lots of pictures along the way, and will post them all later with some tips for anyone interested in tackling this down the road.
I love how this makes the truck look, it looks lean and mean and ready to hit the trails.
Small other changes: 35% 3M tint on the front windows, Pure White DRL's
Also I am very happy with my decision to paint the front part of the bumper white. It really blends well.

Looks good buddy! I like where you chose to start and end the color matching on the front bumper. Looks great!
Now you just need to find someone that wants to do a Limited conversion so you can sell the old parts.
