JBA "long tube" headers? Anyone?

Been scouring the internet before I jump on the thorleys, but the JBAs look like some nice headers and figured id decide between the two. I have a 2011 4Runner and was hoping to see some dynos or at least some decent reviews on the JBAs before just "doing what everyone else is doing" and get the thorleys.

anyone? Links?

I think harper7 had the JBAs on his truck for a while, and he may tell a different story, but he eventually took them off and threw the original exhaust manifold back on because he couldn't pass emissions - not that there wasn't a solution, but it didn't work every time and/or was too complicated. I recall in a separate thread he stated he would put some dyno numbers up with/without the headers and the supercharger, if it ever comes out.

Short story - you won't see any significant hp/torque gains, and you may not pass emissions.

Not entirely true. I probably shouldn't speak for him, but harper7 was running the Doug Thorley long tube headers.
HP gains are not insignificant, but are mostly realized due to deleting the front catalytic converters (this is where the problems with emissions testing come in).So, if smog testing happens in your jurisdiction, you'll want to avoid a long tube design.
However, if they don't test, you might as well go whole hog: long tube headers, a new y-pipe, and o2 simulator. Delete all 4 cats, put on a good cat back system and then you'll definitely be making some extra juice. I had looked into this for myself, however since URD only offered one international shipping option, the shipping charges were nearly as much as the parts and it quickly became uneconomical.

Not so much looking for power, but already did an intake, and was going to build an exhaust for it this week, so I figured while im in there, its the right time to do some headers. Id build the Y-pipe myself and keep the rear cats, and probably do a resonator and muffler combo to keep it quiet, but if the gains are minimal I will probably just avoid them. Ive seen a few threads on the thorleys where they said improved throttle response and low end which this thing kinda lacks, but I rarely use the power other than around town so low end was really all I was looking for, don't so much care about peak numbers. I have a dyno at the shop I work at and do all the tuning here so id likely be tweaking it with one of the tuning devices available, I just didn't want to waste money if headers yield little to no gain, and ive used JBA in the past a lot more than Thorley so thought id look at both before making a decision. Ive talked to the guys at Thorley already and was just about to pull the trigger, but wanted to find results on the JBAs before doing so.
