I've been thinking about getting a 4th gen, and I pretty much like everything you've done to yours. This is definitely my favorite 4th gen. What is your fuel mileage like with the V8 and all the mods? Also, where do you put your front license plate on that bumper?

Thanks. Answers to your questions:

1) About 16 on the hwy, 13 city.

2) Front license plate sits on a shelf in my garage. The Demello front bumper does have pre-drilled holes for mounting a lic plate.

Latest work done was by BaerTrax of Dallas. Three things:

1) When I installed my new ToyTec beefy lower trailing control arms, I noticed a weakness in the brackets on the frame. They are flimsy and easily bent. BaerTrax has very thick steel ones made specifically to replace the OEM flimsy ones. BaerTrax cut off the old ones and welded on the new ones. Photos below.

2) Fab'd me some new beefier rock sliders. While the CBI sliders were decent 90% of the time, I managed to bend both sliders severely. The driver's side slider was bent so much, the driver's door would hit it when opening. BaerTrax cut off the old sliders and welded on much stronger slides. Photo below.

3) Drawerless Cargo System. This is a new concept BaerTrax and TRDParts4U came up with. They already built it for the FJC and they are selling well. I'm the beta customer for the 4th gen 4Runner. I'll have a link to the product as soon as they come up with pricing and list it. Photos below.

April 17, 2013: Mickey Thompson Classic Lock 17x9 rims

Having obliterated 2 sets of rims due to my rock-crawling obsession, I decided to listen to [MENTION=50591]gaterose[/MENTION] and get the bling rims rims with protective rings. Already the rings have proven their worth.

The 33" Hankook M/T tires rub every now and then. Usually only when I am backing into my driveway while tires are fully turned.

Some photos from recent Thrill on the Hill (Toyota off-road event) in New Mexico. I plan to go back next year.

Fourth FJC I've extracted. I had to extract at an angle because his driver rear rim center was against a jutted section of that big shelf. He was grinding his rim pretty bad when spinning in the mud and wasn't going anywhere since the rim was being held in place the rock hitting his center cap.

I love the pics! I've been researching wheeling in NM. My only experience in NM has been two trips to SW Colorado. I want to make a trip to NM only, as I love the scenery the high desert has to offer.

Fluctuates between 7,000 and 9,000 ft in the forest, and about 3,000 ft in the desert.

Very nice . Got some property in Utah by Navajo Lake same altitude 7 + nice quick trip in the summer , cool off from Vegas heat , that's much nicer !
