They work well, I've been running them since I bought my 4WD and moved my LC8 wraps over.

That's great to hear and definitely reassuring since we have the same springs. Have you ever ran the 5100's with the LC springs?

No, I've not run the LCs with 5100s, I've only run them with Toytec rear shocks and the Toikcos.

Gotcha. Well I'll be sure to report back on how they feel compared to the 5100's. When I bought my complete suspension (back in 2014) I upgraded the rear setup to the Bilsteins. The standard would have been the Tokicos. So at least I'm not deviating from what the intended setup was originally built as.

How about a coolant flush vs a drain and fill?

Drain the system, pull the thermostat, fill with distilled/RO water and let it circulate for like 10 mins with the heater running full blast. Dump, repeat, then drain and reinstall the thermostat.

If you measure how much water you put in and comes out each time you can calculate how much coolant was left in the system. After the second flush any residual liquid left in the system will be mostly water, so you can calculate how much coolant concentrate to add to achieve a 50/50 mix, then fill with 50/50 premixed.

Some guys in warm states skip measuring, fill with 50/50 and put concentrate in the overflow container.

After fiddling with the fuel filter some more to no avail, I was still determined to get something done tonight. The weather was too nice to waste. So I went ahead and replaced the lower hose on my B&M trans cooler. The original hose was leaking at the connection and was covered in grime. It's like playing tetris trying to snake it through all the spots.

Those worm clamps suck for anything long term. Why not replace them with factory style 360° clamps?

If those factory 360 clamps are not working and the clamps are not rusted away.. Replace the hoses that are leaking. I had that happen after a timing belt change my rad hoses wouldn't seal. I put rad crew clamps on temp. Ordered replacement hoses put those on. No leak.. The leaking is because the hoses are just warn out.. This goes for all rubber style hoses. Well this is what I have observed over the years anyhow.. Hope this helps..

These arrived this morning. Super excited about them. New Tokico shocks for the rear end and they came with all the needed hardware and bushings. Let's see how long it will be before I get them installed, lol.

Yesterday I took the 4Runner through one of those drive through car washes. Afterwards I went to park so I could take some photos of how it looked. Turns out that my passenger side headlight was burned out. Back in February of this year I installed some cheap Hella bulbs purchased off of Amazon and they were less than $10. So for the Hellas to only last 5 months, I can't be too mad I suppose. Given that I had to drive in the dark this morning, it was pretty urgent, so I went to the wonderful Wally World where I purchased some Sylvania Silverstar Ultra bulbs. They were $45.97 pre tax. Went back out to the parking lot and swapped them in before I even left.

They produce a noticeably "whiter" light than the Hellas, but overall they look really good. I've ran LED's in the past and I'm done with them, they're too cheap, burn out quickly and they aren't even made for my housings. Plus I think the halogens look good on older rigs.

Absolutely nothing. I haven't opened them yet because I don't wanna lose parts, but I can see the bushings were included. They just aren't pressed into the shock.

But man, these things are B E E F Y. Like seriously. I can't wait to do a side by side comparison with the 5100's. Not sure when I'll get them installed but my hope is before the weather gets too cold.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that these are LC80 Tokicos.

Did they come with the centering washers and nuts? Probably going with the same shocks whenever I get around to lifting mine

I will check once I get back home. Just picked the 4Runner up after having the fuel filter and both lines replaced... going to post about that here shortly.

But I'll let you know.
