Jsmarine's custom winch bumper

Yes I should be able to make it on April 19th, that would be cool. I am also planning on going to the meeting on April 9th down in Mansfield too, are planning on attending that one?

I won't be making the meeting since I will be heading out to East Texas to pick up my son, but unless something changes, I will definitely see you at Bridgeport on the 18th (not the 19th).

Later.

Props to you for doing your own thing. Looks great from a "finish" point of view, but I personally am not fond of the hoop. It clashes with the smooth lines of the 4runner's body and grill. It also hangs pretty low in front, right along the skid plate area... Just nit picking though. I'm not "fab - savvy" enough to make my own, so much respect to you bud.

Are you referring to the hoop over the kc lights on top of the bumper? guess I'm confused as its not near the skid plate.

EDIT: I think I got it, you mean the whole bumper sits too low. Well it actually doesn't, must be the pics, or the fact my 4runner is not lifted very high. The bumper sits slightly above the frame rails; you can see the bottom mounting plates and the bolts where it attaches to the frame. Any higher and you would see the whole mounting plates, which wouldn't look very good, nor be strong enough for the winch in my opinion.

Great job! :bigok: I really like how the bumper flows with the body even though it has sharp angles. Very clean, it looks like it was designed well too!

Yeah the hoop over the top... The "sharpness" of the angles makes it look out of place... And I was referring to the bottom of the bumper, it's pretty low and hangs out in front of the truck. It may just be the clevis/shackle mounts though...

Ok yeah, that part does hang out, where the shackles mount. Its actually part of the winch mounting, or strength for the winch, it goes all the way back to the frame to tie in the winch plate. If you look through the early pictures you can see what I mean.

Just turn it so when you look down it you're looking at it like a diamond and not a square. It looks way harder than it really is, I like the look too.
