To try and make this thread more active, what types of racing are you into if any. I pretty much like every type of auto racing. In a semi-related note, I have just started racing myself, but on a little smaller scale. I have recently started racing R/C cars...well trucks. It might be small, but it is able to hit speeds around 45 to 50 mph. It is pretty fun, and I am definately getting better.

Last night on Speed Channel they had some vintage racing from Monterrey?? - kind of neat watching the old Porsches and Ferraris from the late 60's and early 70's duking it out again

I like pretty much all types, though I really can't get into NASCAR. My favorites are WRC, JGTC and now drifting. Drifting is becoming a lot more mainstream though I got into it years ago.
Not a NASCAR fan, but I like to watch the American LeMans series and WRC. I used to race RC trucks and buggies, but then I started working and having kids. RC takes up a lot of time to be competitive. Race day took an entire day and I don't have the time anymore. After race day, you had to clean and do repairs and that was another day (depending on how many classes you entered). When my kids get older, I might have to bust the RC stuff out again. We'll see if they like it.
By the way, anyone interested on some nice used RC stuff? I don't need 2 buggies and 3 trucks anymore.

Funny I was just thinking about you today with the race this weekend in Talledega. Even browsed some fares this morning on the spur of the moment notion I would throw all caution to the wind and flight out on a whim for the race. Not the way I need to be budgeting! Needless to say I will not be at the track but glad to here you will be. Hopefully you can get some more tracktime in the Runner. I'm into pretty much all types of racing with NASCAR, Champ/Indy Car, Rally and Touring Cars rounding off the top of the list.
I don't know what kind of marketing work you do out there, but if you ever have any overflow work related to racing let me know. I'm in the industry and would love the change of pace from my corporate efforts!

I'm a big racing fan...Nascar included...Robby Gordon is my favorite driver...and I'm excited to see Toyota in cup...was nice watching the Tundra get the championship in the truck series...

Yeah, I was very excited to see the Camry's on the track. I am not sure what all is the deal with Micheal Waltrip Racing, but just hope it was an honest mistake. I don't know him personally, but have worked with him a couple of times and from what i know, he is a really good guy.
Anyway, I would like nothing more than to see a Toyota in Victory Lane this weekend..........That would shut all the Haters up.......lol

MWR was sabatoged! LOL...dunno...but I dont see the Camry in victory lane for quite some time...they are way down on speed at daytona...and the drivers they have, well....

wow nascar, people round here swear by it. I guess living in NC, if your born and raised here your born and raised on nascar. It part of the culture. Talladega nights was filmed mostly here in NC.
My girlfriends loves nascar and her 19 year old brother just signed on with dodge's race team. Ive been to a few of his races and its really cool being down in the pits or on top of an trailor on the roof top decks in the in field but it gets old cause you keep turning around following the cars.
Its weird thinking that people up north have nothing to do with nascar. deffinitly an experience though.
oh yea, and we actually have people drive monte carlo "official pace cars" that are all doodied up for their "fave" team, driving all around here, now those look odd.

I like all sorts of racing too momo and i was excited for toyota's camry to make a start at Nascar. Don't know whats going on but i hope it all works out for the camry team.

broncosi, the only thing I found exciting was the finish...those restrictor plate races can be boring...well, cept for all the crashes...but as far as racing goes, I cant wait for Richmond...that, is racing.
