Just because you have a "cool" adjuster, doesn't mean everyone else in the world isn't going to run into a problem getting warranteed. Sometimes, trying a different dealer's service dept may do the trick, but not always.

I didn't say you didn't have to fight them, just that if they can't put down real proof that it caused the failure they have to honor it. I had to argue with the warranty company for a new front diff when they wanted to rebuild it (which the dealership doesn't really do,) it was a pain but in the end the warranty company ran out of excuses and went withthe proper repair.

What was the cost to have them replace the KDSS Cylinder? My Wifes GX470 is out of warranty, and it looks like the rear cylinder may have a leak:

Last week, I found my 2011 TE has the exact same leaking. My truck has 34K miles.
My truck has been in dealership since last Friday waiting for parts. It should be repaired tomorrow under warranty (my warranty expires in one month).
This brought up my concern to the KDSS system as it seems easy to leak. I am worried that this could happen again in another 30K miles?

Hope that it doesn't happen in another 30k, because it is about $1500 to replace a KDSS Cylinder and bleed the system.... If it makes you feel better though, my Wife's GX470's front KDSS Cylinder is fine at 83k miles, and only the rear one is "Seeping". At this point, I think KDSS is more trouble then it is worth.

That's the reason I won't give those crooks any money for extended warranties. You pretty much have to hire a lawyer in order to get any work done. Insurance / warranties in general are one giant scam.

And that is just the part. There is the install Labor, and you have to get Toyota or Lexus to bleed the KDSS system if a piece is replaced, or if there is any leakage, which is $600 just for the Bleed!

I would rather buy the bleeder from toyota and download the manual from TIS and do it myself. Much more rewarding and you can have a bleeder and help other people out.
Wonder how much this Toyota service tool goes for?
