Keep leaving back window down!

I don't have good nose, nor good ear. Therefore, I am not a qualified Toyota engineer, thank God.

The only two reasons I can think of not to automatically roll up the rear window are,

1. No one ever complaints on not able to roll up other four side windows (or ....doors, I wish:bash: ) when the ignition is started, Why should the rear windows be complaint about.

2. There can be an occasion when you load a oversized pipe or 2x4x12 that you would not want the rear window rolled up, once again, when the ignition is started.

I would think if there is more space on the tiny remote control, it would be a good idea to have another button to close rear window. Has someone try to push the rear window 'open' button twelve times to see if the window can be rolled up.:p

With the ignition on, you can push the dash-mounted button for the rear window and it will go up automatically. You do not need to hold the button--just tap it.

To leave the window open you must live in a good area, I'd be afraid to come back to my car and find it full of looters

Like duh! Hey Cliffy, did you know there was a button on the dash for the rear window? :bash:

Ordered my Sticker!

Well I went & ordered my TR4.org sticker! Will my 4Runner go 5 MPH faster with it?

I think this is the reason why Toyota engineered in the wonderful sulphur smell...

so thats not just my 4runner? i thought something was wrong with my exaust. everytime my back window is down i get big wiffs of a nasty sulfer smell, its normal?

I gotta say that if you don't notice the back window down, then you are noise challenged or simply are drinking too much! I'm at 375 pounds and catch a chill when one of the front windows is cracked a bit. Also, the sulphur smell would serve to remind me that the window is down. Good luck solving this one!

Sounds like you need to move to Phoenix. Again, we don't deal with that "chill" thing too much down here!

As suggested, I think the idea to just use the key in the back gate, to roll the window back up is likely the best and/or cheapest solution.

I've never left the back window down, but I have left the sunroof cracked on more than one occasion.

No tery it will actually go 7.5mph faster, but thats only if you put it on straight. You dont want to know what will happen if you put the sticker on crooked.... lets just say it will void your warranty.!

:lmao:

Well let's not bring that up now! I've got similar, if not at least, less frequent issues with that!
