Killer Toy Tops - Bikini Edition

Anyone on here bought either of the 1st gen 4runner bikini tops from KTT? For ~$200 they look pretty nice. I was thinking of buying one the next time a sale pops up.

Who has one? Is it as perfect of a fit as I'm led to believe? It sounds like the quality is worth buying it instead of going el cheapo on a YJ bikini and making that work.

Right? Cheap to make if ya can, but my fabrication skills are almost nonexistent. My buddy does have a YJ bikini I can have, too.

The biggest thing is that I just want it to be as perfect and flush with the roof as the Toy Top is.

I wanna put one on, and remove the cargo area carpet. Possibly put bed liner back there too.

So, KTT is having a super Solar90 top sale through this week. I think I wanna order one.

Can anyone chime in with their opinion of it? Children Of Bodom, despite it being winter, have you installed yours?

They're more costly than making your own, but for $120 on sale, it seems like a good price to have it fit well, and almost "look" factory.

You can also pick one of these up from one of the member's stores for $125 shipped and save a little more $$$. I was just going to make one like fourwd1 keeps suggesting but at the end of the day, I got too many other things to do. Reasonable price and done! Finally ordered mine today.

The one I ordered doesn't have straps coming from the top of the rollbar to the bed.. or at least it didn't in the pics on KTT's site, and the desc says so as well.
Wondering why yours does?

I spoke with Kirk about making me one with straps, as opposed to the usual strapless bikini. I like the look.

The one in the pic is installed wrong (or I guess different) you can see the clips in the picture that are screwed to the rails... Those are supposed to clip back up to the header.


For the record, I have had these tops in stock on clearance now for about a month for $125 shipped.
