If you follow me on Instagram at JLS_KNEECAPS everyone would have seen these pictures. But for those you that don't here's what we've been up to...

We took at trip with some friends up to northern VA for a long weekend to go skiing/snowboarding and get snowed in.

Found out that a Thule cargo carry bag fits perfectly in the rack in front of the RTT and fit four suitcases that no one had room for.



Start of the storm that dropped 36" total on us in 2 days...



After a hour of digging out of the snow bank that was created between a wall and my friends suburban she was free.




Mounds of snow.




The afternoon we left there were clear sky's

Please don't waste your money on the expensive Gobi shocks...These are what you seek:

When you order, you must put in the comments section the following: "Convert to 10mm straight ends"

I have been running these for about a year and they are a good bit stronger than the stock struts.

Thanks for sharing this info. I modified my original order and ordered these instead for 1/3 of the cost!

Have you tried these out with anything else loaded on your ladder? I am planning to hang my Treds and Trasharoo off the ladder and it would be a nice to have if I didn't have to unload the Trasharoo to get into the back. That load may still be too much even for the upgraded Gobi gas shocks, but hoping you may have some experience to share.

mounting plates are 9" long, 1"wide

risers are 2" from bottom of notch to mounting plates

cross bars are 44.5" from notch to notch

spacers that are between the bottom and top hoop are 1.5" from notch to notch

fairing is 7" tall and 43" wide

front "feet" are 2.5" long 1" wide and the riser is 2.5" from plate to notch

hope that helps a little.

I had a rough sketch on a piece of paper(that's way long gone), and I just barely went off that to be honest. only thing I can say is take the factory rails off, make your base plates that bolt to the truck and go from there. just look over the pictures in order and that kinda gives a step by step process.

local fab shop, gave the dude a ~10ft piece and asked for 4 90's. $20 if I remember right, and he put it in his pocket lol. only took him 10 min.

Been awhile since I've updated this build thread. If you have been following us on Instagram and Facebook you have seen this stuff. If not here ya go!.…

We went camping a few times over the winter. We managed to not get caught in the snow once. Even when they were calling for it!



Spring time came and we attended the jamboree at uwharrie...



Also camped at the beach with the local Toyota club.

Early summer decided one Saturday morning to go up the front side of Daniel at uwharrie...

Made it up. Won't do that again for some time. Took some beating on the way up.
