LED dash light A/C button remains green?

Trying to change my interior gauge, dash, and cluster lights to white from green.

When I removed my A/C button and replaced it with the Neo-LED I noticed the bulb I pulled didn't have a green condom which worried me. And sure enough, still emits green glow after installing the white led.

Is there another step I need to do or do I need to go further into the button somehow?

the lens on the switch/button is green in color. so the light will always appear green.
