LED Headlight Bulbs - Check em out!

Nice... I wonder how these will work on fog lights?...I'd like a higher output on the fogs to go with my HID retrofit. (I'm using stock fog lights)

Should I get these?

I think they would work great in the fog light housing. I prefer a little lower color temp for fogs, say around 3000 Kelvins, but these will certainly put some light out there.

In case you missed my previous post, wait another month or so for the new, brighter version to be released.
 
Hey Shawn, have you thought about asking them if you can exchange yours for the Gen 2 when it comes out? I remember reading on some forums that when they released the gen 2 of the V3 Triton Bulbs, a lot of people were able to exchange their gen 1 bulbs no questions asked. I mean you literally bought it a few days ago, maybe they'll have a heart and swap em for you :)

Any chance they'd be able to make one in an amber (like the Rigid ambers) or something in a lower color temp? I want to eventually do the "foglight anytime mod" and having a super-white foglight kinda defeats the purpose of a useful adverse weather light.

They told me I could swap if I wanted when I asked. The 9005 are already in my garage but they are holding off on the H11 until the new ones (per my request) even though I had already purchased them by the time I heard the new version was coming out. Very good customer service.

I was actually waiting until later in Oct. when the new version comes out, I should have one of the first sets available on my rig for pics and some testing.

Here is a good question for folks running a lift - at what height do you adjust your headlights to cutoff?

I had my headlights replaced as part of the TSB and they left it at the level it came and I immediately noticed I was blinding people - the original headlights did not. That said, I have lowered them, but about how high are folks leaving their light cutoff point?

I also recall getting high-beamed by oncoming traffic previously when just running low beams (and high-beaming back :hello: ). Is there any specific standard folks are using to determine optimal light coverage/visibility?

Is this the new version that you were talking about: H11 5K CXA 2000LM | 1 PAIR - H11 - H Series - Bulb Number

It is only 200lm more and different fan setup. I spoke to one of the VLED’s guys today and he said that they working on something brighter. It will be several months before they post it on the web site tho.:crybaby:
I don’t know what to do. Get this set while they have 15% OFF or go with Philips HID. :confused:

I heard that philips doesn’t make HIDs anymore, but you still can find some from chana.

I've got the new ones...need to find time to post pics. Blew out one of my PIAA bulbs so it was time.
 
Is there anyway you can post screenshots of the new ones before 11:59pm tonight ? The discount they have going is only good until then, need to know whether to buy or not :surfer:

Was it cxa 2000lm? I just ordered last night, I probably replace hid that I have, I have cheap version for 60 dollars. Or maybe fogs... Can't wait....
