IMO it would be easier to install at/near the headlight as that is where your other fuse will be located for 12V power to light system.

Doing fine. It's as stable and secure as the day it was installed!
Mounting point is directly into the bumper, drilled and tapped.
Use quality hardware and it will be fine!

I really don't understand why I cant find a bezel/trim kit/flush mount 20-30" LED bar. Does no one make one?! This is kinda mind blowing to me...

Look thru my thread for some info on how mine is made and photos on how it is fastened. You will see in the photo that the grill is sandwiched between the bezel and a flat piece behind the grill.
You could get the dimensions needed to have your own bezel/trim made locally if you have a water jet company or a sheet metal company close by.
It's not hard to do.
I think if you have your own made, it will be more satisfying and you can play with the design on paper or with a piece of cardboard first to tweak it!
I think the reason no-one makes them is because there are so many variations on bar sizes and configurations.

I'm curious how the curvature of a larger bar (20"-30") would match up with the curvature of the grill. Any thoughts?

I don't have a clue.
I guess you will have to do a fit test and determine if it will work for you....
Wish we had some data to help guide us to what will work behind these 14 + grills. I guess only time and each of us posting will be our only guide!
When you get it figured out, please post your results so it will help others wanting to accomplish the same and when the project is complete, post some photos please!!!

Great write up Saker! I have had this thread bookmarked since before I bought my T4R, I knew it was something I wanted to do.
I do have one question...how/where did you run the wires through the firewall into the cabin?
I have a 32in LED bar, harness and switch waiting for me at home, I can't wait to get off work and install this!

Be careful when you use an awl or pointed punch to make a hole in that existing grommet so not to nick any other wires. Don't oversize the hole either so it will remain watertight.

AOB has been having a few issues with their supplier, so the website has been up and down.
I suggest going to their "contact us" section and sending them a note telling them you are interested in one/some switches.

I am almost done installing but I don't know which wire to connect to the blue/wire signal wire from the light bar switch? I want to connect it to the exact same button OP has it connected to- but theres like 6 wires going to that button?!
Can anyone help me out as to which wire to connect to? Theres blue, pink, white, red
I'd appreciate any help!!

You guys spaced/drilled the bumper beam for this; are you able to fish a bolt up through the bottom of the bumper and then put the nut on from the top?
I just put in 20" bar on my '14, by running two 4" stainless bolts down from the top, and "hanging" my bar upside down. No cutting/drilling, and works fine on the road. But off-road it vibrates more than I would like.
Do you have any pictures of the install? Where did you run the bolts?

Sorry if i missed where it is but did you provide a link to the switch you used? The push switch that says LED Bar where did you buy it? The air on board site i guess doesnt have that same switch anymore they seem to have more fancy ones now =p but also EXPENSIVE when you have as many LED Bars as us and need switch for air compressors and lockers etc it adds up lol =/ how much did you pay?

Seems they don't have any Blue On/Off in stock, at all. Lots of times it is just the time of year. Oh, I paid $27.00ea.
