I'm thinking BOTH those bulbs are not good, but we'll see. The Rheostat is probably toast again, we'll check that too. I'm off for a MTB ride and then to my son's practice. Be back this evening!
LED's driving me NUTS!!

Hey [MENTION=102597]IBallEngineer[/MENTION], so I got the new bulbs in and they work. Yay! Now I'm stuck with no dimming function though, so I'm going I have to r/r the rheostat again and go from there. My main question though is, why would LED's cause this big issue? Should I be buying the $30 LEDs that have resistors built in? I see everyone else on here doing led swaps and I'm just pissed/confused why I'm having so many issues. Any ideas?

Well we could test the LEDs you had that caused the problems, but I'm thinking they did not have the resistance necessary to work properly. And some LED's aren't designed for 12V systems at all. But the important thing is it's working now so you must have gotten better LEDs.

Nope, I went back to the stock bulbs and will be ordering new LED's in a couple weeks. Just bought a ton of tools and that about drained me for a while.

OK I misread, no problem. I still think you just had bad bulbs!

Good to hear. Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed then and buy some different ones in a few weeks. Ones WITH the resistors built in.
