dade73 - How do you like the CMX760? Worth the change or just another CB? Any cool features or complaints on the unit?

Thanks for the link to your build. Using RJ45 & Cat7 cables does make it a lot easier and simpler.

Was that question on PSI directed to me? I have Goodyear Duratracs 285/70/17's which say 80psi and I only run them at 55psi for everyday driving. I could probably get better mileage if I put them at 80psi though.

The King shocks and adjusters set on soft make for a pretty soft ride

I run the same tires / size also with Kings - I've found that 40 is the sweet spot. Give it a try.

Custom magnetic RAM mount.
Quick Charge USB and Volt Meter (front and rear)
Full Time Cig Plug Power
Orange Boxx Rear Side Window Molle Rack

Its just another CB. However here are the Pros and Cons I have found:
Pros:
Small head unit (so I can place it anywhere)
Display on the Mic
The push buttons on the mic are less likely to be accidently hit compared to the Cobra.
The CMX760 model has NOAA alerts and monitor options the previous model didn't have. A huge selling point for me. living in the mid Atlantic region weather conditions change hourly.
Yes you customize the display color a little bit but not a selling point for me.

Cons:
No internal speaker. Its all in the Mic. It does have an options to plug in an external speaker though
No PA option, (not a selling point that I considered)

Honestly if you are happy with the CB you have now, no real need to change unless its over 10 years old. Or if you want to clean up you drivers area some, or just upgrade your equipment. if you are upgrading you may want to look at adding a GMRS if you haven't yet.

Cat6 will work just as well. I didn't test Cat6 or Cat5e for the 15' runs to the rear. So I am not sure how much feed back you will pick up if you decide to do that.

I was just checking out the Cobra C75WXST yesterday. Looks good in that location.

Do you like that CB? Also, what antenna are you using?

Cools pictures!

Yeah it seems to work pretty good. It was super easy to install. Im using a firestik 2ft antenna and a Diamond k400 mount.

I have my Diamond K400 mounted the same way in the same location and it has worked great for the past couple of years. It's the perfect spot for not having radio interference and also depending on your antenna length you can still fit in most garages, etc. Of course we all put the big antenna on for our outdoor excursions! And don't forget to remove at the automatic car wash!

I checked my 2018 ORP for any metal in the location you show your magnetic mic mount and it is all plastic. Did you mount a metal plate behind the plastic?
Thanks
