Lift 1st attempt: Unsuccessful, best way to deal with tierod ends?

Well yes the KDSS is somewhat of a pain, but it really isn't all that bad. like I said a second ago, I do think loosening the LCA bolts is what I'm going to do.

Taking the front KDSS brackets off is easy, wait until you have to put them on.

I agree with what someone else said, jack up lca a bit to get pressure off and make sure you are hitting it hard enough. First couple times I tried I wasn't hitting it hard enough and seemed like it wouldn't come off.

Well because I need to drive my car I ended up putting it all back together without the lift, and the KDSS wasn't too bad, only took me maybe 10-15 minutes to jack it up and get it just right to put the bolts back in. I just don't feel comfortable taking a big ass hammer and whacking the S@&t out of my suspension. Going to just drop the LCA.

Ahh I see, well glad that part was easy for you. It was an absolute nightmare for me.

If you are hitting it in the right place with the flat surface you will not break anything, it is made for that. Need a hammer with some weight behind it.

Sorry, I don't understand why people don't want to use the correct procedure. You are making it way more complicated and introducing way more variables dropping the LCA. Pushing the tie rod beyond its intended range of motion... This is the correct way, but do as you please... It is your truck.

As others said we just whacked the flat spot on the spindle with a BFH (a 4lb mini sledge if I remember) and it popped off after about 4-5 whacks.
