Lift 2010 TE

Looking for input and advice on lifting 2010 Trail

Hello, about to lift my TE. Going with bilstein 5100's front and rear, that's the easy part. Deciding the combo of coils/spacers and what not is the challenging part.

This is my daily driver, I drive 95% on road. I do long road trips and lots of camping with kids and a loaded truck. I do moderate offroading.

Cheapest is obviously:
Set Bili to 2.5" front and put a daystar 1.5" spacer rear.

Front thoughts: Set bili to 2.5". It seems like toytec has both a 1.6" and 2.5" superflex spring for the front. I could go with the 1.6" and set bili to .85"

Rear: Daystar spacer 1.5". Toytec spacer. Toytec superflex spring 2". Sway-a-way 1.5"

I looked at the OME springs but I don't want 3" as that pushes the limits of needing UCA's. so most likely going with either just 1.5" up front to level or 2.5" and 1.5"

What is your setup? What are your thoughts and recommendations on this? Anything you would do different? Also I will most likely have it installed at 4Wheelparts.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Unless you're thinking of adding a bumper/winch up front the factory springs should be fine. I recently did a trip to Kentucky with my setup at 1.75" front and 0 rear with about a 600 lb load in the back (all factory springs). There was no noticeable settling in the back. The ride was softer but didn't affect handling at all. Since then I have added a pair of OME medium front springs (Bilsteins reset to 0) and a pair of Traxda 1.25" rear spacers (added a bumper and winch up front). I'm back to an ever so slight reverse rake. I am planning on replacing the rear spacers and springs with a pair of Toytec 2" Superflex springs in the near future to try and get it leveled. Like you mine is a daily driver, but I want it to be moderately off road capable. I've stuck with factory sized tires in an A/T tread and currently have no desire to go larger.

I would recommend you take a long look at the Lifted Pics thread and see some of the combinations in there to find what looks like you want. There are so many opinions on what may work best you'll probably get as many different opinions as you get replies.

Very happy with my setup, don't feel like the stiffer SAW coils were a negative for on road for me. In fact it still feels great compared to the Xreas shocks which do provide a great on road ride. I like the extra height off road as I have a little more room for error. It looks awesome as well, haha

I just finished installing bilsteins all the way around set to 2.5 and sway away 1.5 in the rear. Love the stance and road feel so far. No off-roading yet.

Nice, thanks for the input!! It seems like the 2.5/1.5 is the way to go. Anyone originally go with setting bilsteins to 2.5 and then switch out for a coil and set to zero or .85??
