Installed cornfed 3/2, fj wheels, with 255/80/17's. I love this set up more and more every day. It looks amazing over stock. On am interesting side note. While I was under the rear end I took a look at the tag on the rear end. It reads January 13, 2006...we were working on this January 13, 2017!!! What are the chances!?!?!?!

Hi Guys,

Recently purchased a 2008 4th gen TFR. I purchased a set of pro-comp 97 wheels and was looking for recommendations on tire sizes. The wheels are 15x8 and I'm looking to go as big as possible without a lift for the time being.

First i read through about 170 pages of this thread with no luck on my answer to if the 255/70r18 bfg ko2 (32.1"x10"x18") will fit under a stock 07 4runner limited v8 4x4. Google doesnt help either.
My stock size is 265/60r18 (30.5"x10.4"x18")

My stock size is 265/60r18 (30.5"x10.4"x18")

Someone who actually runs this size can verify, but I'm gonna go with no... When I got my 32's I put them up next to the 4Runner before I lifted it and the tire was at least a full .5" above where the fender started at the top and was stuffed against the front.

i can't speak to that specific tire size, but i have 265/65/18 on mine. i'm also running spidertraxx spacers and have a 1" leveling lift. i rubbed the 65s on the fender liner and the mudflap. had to trim the flap and push the liner forward to clear. you're talking about another half inch in there. i don't think they'll make it. i know the spacers push the tires out more and make the rubbing worse, so i can't say for certain. guys running that size tire (265/65) with no lift and no spacers don't seem to have any problems....and with that, i realize this does not help you at all!

I think it will work if you put a little effort into potential trimming.

With the 255 width you won't rub on the spindle and wheel spacers or backspaced wheels will only put it closer to the body mount/ mudflaps.

I think if you are okay with removing your front mudflaps and potentially trimming or heating and bending the bottom corner of your bumper, you should be able to run the 255's on the street. Although it would be better to find someone with experience running 255/70/18's if you are unsure about wanting to trim plastic.
