Got my 4runner 2 months ago and I have loved everything about it so far.
2003 v8 limited 4wd
first pictures are when I got it from the dealership stock, I've added 3 inch toytec coil spacers to the front, a front diff. drop, and 285x70x17 federal couragia m/t

Did my FJ springs and Cornfed 2/1 on Friday along with some General Grabber 275/65/18 and Spidertrax all around , 1" differential drop and custom rear end links,, I'm extremely happy with how it turned out!!!

Install went well I did at my buddy's shop who helped me with it. Was actually a lot easier then we expected, definitely helps to have a good shop with availability to great tools! We did the no spring compressed method and kept the shocks in tact as I maintained and am still running my Xreas. Only issue we ran into was the Ball Joint nut on the drivers was seized up pretty good ( again acces to good/the right tools) just broke out the torch and that was that!

All in all I very Happy with the amount of lift I got it was exactly what I wanted for now until I get a complete coil over lift set up, once the Xreas goes or I get bored and want to upgrade whichever comes first haha. I didn't do exact measurements yet but it looks like I got between 2-1/2 to 3" in the front and about 1-1/2 in the rear which is exactly what I was going for for now.

Here are a few crappy cell phone pics for now , we after dark and it's been freezing cold this weekend , I'm going to take some better ones and start my mild thread as soon as I get a chance. I also did get to take it on a couple trails yesterday and get it dirty, wish I got some pics, bit it did really well and the suspension felt great!!!

5100s and 885 coils up front with light racing upper control arms and 5160s and superflexes in the rear. Then also a daystar spacer in the rear on the driver's side to correct the lean.

Would it be okay to put 5100s up front along with the toytec spacer lift. I was wondering because I have read that spacers give a harsh ride and that the 5100s are awesome. Also, is taking the sway bar off fairly easy? Thanks

Its not harsh, might be hard to your 90+ year old grandmother compared to her cadillac, but I would't even think in a "truck" you will tell a difference. yes you can add spacer on top of 5100's. Which spacer are you wanting to run? 5100's can give you 2.5" of lift without spacer, or you can do a spacer and set the 5100's at a smaller level.

Taking sway bar off is 6 bolts. 4 which mount bar to frame, and 2 on the end to count with suspension.

There are 10,000 different combinations and you will hear a lot of different ones. Your looking for a 3" front. You can do that 1000 ways. Since your probably due shocks anyway, start there. 5100's in front at 2.5 with FJ springs, or Moogs(aftermarket FJ) as many have done will give you 3" in front and a good ride.

As far as rear, you can just add a 1.5" spacer and be done, or 1.5" and 5100's which will give you new shocks. Add some FJ spring and a 1.5" and get 2" lift in rear. Or get superflex rear coils for 2" lift.

i look at it this way, you will want your rear and front to be roughly .75-1" difference in height. If the front fender is same height as rear, it will appear the 4runner is nose high, won't look good. Atleast my opinion and many others here.
