265/70/17 GY Duratracks on 17x9 ProComp wheels with -6mm offset. 3/2 ReadyLift spacers and Bilstein 5100's adjustable fronts set to stock height. I had to trim the front fender liner and remove mud flap. I like how it rides, since it's not my daily driver I really wasn't concerned but it handle ok and the tire noise isn't too maddening. The tires stick outside of the fenders with these offsets but I don't have any UCA clearance issues at all, lots of room.

265/70 17 Nitto Terra Grappler, 5100's set at 1.75, 2013 FJ's Springs. A lot of rubbing at the fender liners. I'll be moving the liners forward, setting the 5100's at 2.5 and adding rear spacers. Real happy with the overall look.

Im a new member looking for any suggestions on tires. Installing daystar 2.5/1.5 on my 05 Sport V6 in week or so and then ill be ready for new tires. Thinking either cooper ATs or bfg AT size 265/70 R17.

Can someone help me out with this? If im going to buy 305/70/16 Cooper STT's and obviously 16 inch wheels, what wheel width do i need? For example, there are 16x7, 16x8, and 16x10. What is the difference between these? P.S. I plan on having the bilstein coilover setup and a 1" BL. Thanks

Manufacturer approved rim width for that tire is 8-9.5. Hope that helps

Other than being able to run a different range of tire widths, not really any I can think of off hand. Wider wheels will allow you to run wider tires. I guess you have some weight differences and what not if you want to consider that. Also too wide could look goofy I guess.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know. Haha. There's so much mixed input on lift/tire size/rubbing/trimming, etc. It's tough to decide until you actually do it. I moved my liners forward and I still get a tiny bit of rubbing when I'm backing out of my driveway. Daystar 2.5/1.5 seems to be the most consistent. I'm going with coil overs soon... Now I just have to compare the pros/cons on those set ups...

Guys I have a 2.5/1.5 lift and stock 18" limited wheels. I am trying to find as tall and narrow tire as possible in an aggressive tread. I would rather not add any spacers. tirerack.com doesn't even show an AT/MT tires in a 275/65/18 tire... I am thinking I might get some steel FJ wheels and go with the pizza cutter 255/80/17 size MTs

Installed the daystar 2.5/1.5, removed the runnin boards and mud flaps. Looks good I think. 2003 V8 limited with 30k miles.
