So... this happened: Toytec Ultimate with diff drop and LR UCAs. I left the DS spacer on the drivers side rear and it is sitting pretty level. Better pictures to come after it settles a bit.

It'll be a while but I think this is what I have decided on as well. Which size DS spacer did you put on the rear drivers side? For the front, did you just install them the way toytec sent them? Did you adjust the coilovers at all or the Bilsteins?

DS spacer is the same one for that location on the 2.5/1.5 leveling kit. The coil-over is adjusted slightly on the drivers side to make it level, but not much.

I clicked the link, with the 5100s you wouldn'd need tge spacer for the front would you? With 5100s and 884 springs could you get more than 3 inches of lift? If i went with 2 inches of lift in the back, I'd probably want more than 3 up front.

I don't think you'll need the top plate spacer in the kit with the use of 5100's. If you like you can get the top plat spacer for additional height but you don't need more than 3" lift up front with 2" rear lift, unless you are going for the Pre-runner look. Is yours 2wd or 4wd?

Gotcha. How do you like the ride? Does it ride pretty rough? Had it out on the interstate yet?

Mack, It rides really well. I havn't had it off-road yet, but it does well on the highway. The steering is a little looser than with the DS kit, which was much tighter than stock.

At what height lift do you need to modify the steering? Trying to decide between 2.5" and 3" lift

the steering is only ever an issue with a body lift as you would need a steering shaft spacer. the issue comes with alignment because the factory upper control arms are not sufficient for adding caster. most people around the 2.5-3" mark either don't need aftermarket uca's or just buy them for peace of mind. if you're over 3" it is almost a must

Rethinking lift idea

Bought a 3" ProComp lift to add a little more height and have scheduled to be installed in 2 weeks. Now, rethinking the lift all together after reading to much information about failing ball joints, cambers not setting right and the height being to dangerous and having to replace a lot of things that will wear out way to quick. So frustrated..:ybrick:

If your 2wd why not just get the lift spindles (Total Chaos makes a nice set) and be done with it?

New 285/70/17 GY Duratracs

Took my new tires out for a spin. These tires are nice! I replaced my BFG 275s with these and could not be happier.

Handle well on the road, and really good Off road.

New lift/tires!

I got my tax refund a few weeks ago. Just simple taxes. I used my refund to upgrade the runner. At 171k miles, the old, beat up xreas had seen better days, as well as the BFG All Terrain LT265/65/18 load E with 89k miles. Out with that, as well as the front springs. I kept the stick air ride because I like how it keeps an even stance even with a heavy load. I installed new Moog 07-09 FJ 4x4 front springs, and the adjustable Bilstein 5100 in the front set at 1.75(second notch from the top).
[MENTION=44866]ARK_SWAMP_RIDER[/MENTION] advised me against using the 5100 shocks in the back with the air springs due to them being longer than stock, so I went with the Bilstein 4600s in the back.
I bought new LT 275/65/18 Cooper Discoverer AT3 load C, and had them installed as well.
My buddy is a mechanic and did the work. In the process, he popped the front driver side cv axle, and installed a new one free of charge.
The old xreas shocks were in bad shape. 3/4 were leaking from the top, and the back two covers were rusted off.
Overall, the ride is a little stiffer than before. I didn't know how much stiffer the moogs were, but I'm happy with the result. The runner now sits nearly level from front to back in terms of ground to wheel well. The front is around 36/36.5"(driver side/passenger side), and the back is around 36.75". I know the front will probably settle a little, but not sure how long that takes. I've driven about 100 or so miles so far since the change on Friday.

I'm with the others, with out. They're too wide and stick out too far IMO.

Might look better if you shortened the screw spacers so they fit in closer to the wheels. Haven't actually seen your center caps, but they looks similar to the KMC Rockstar caps which can be modified that way to look a little cleaner.
