Anyone running OME 884's upfront with fj springs in the back with bilsties all around?

I have Bilsteins all around, OME 884's up front and Toytec Superflex in the rear. Not the same but similar

I installed my lift 2 weeks ago and I got my wheels and tires installed today. I had to go hit the trails to test them out.

Lift: Bilstein 5100 all around, Toytec 2.5" coils up front, Superflex rear coils
Tires: BFGoodrich AT KO2 275/70/17

Looks great! How much rubbing/where did you rub with the KO2s in that size?

And do you know if those new TRD wheels have the same offset and rim width as the FJ wheels?

I have only heard a slight rub when turning in reverse. I also haven't gotten an alignment yet, I plan on getting one this weekend. Then I'll do a full inspection on where it's rubbing and get back with you. I am not running wheel spacers either, I am sure it will help with that problem once I get some.

I believe it has the same offset but they are 7.5in wide instead of 7.

Figured I'd better start contributing...

Toytec 1" BL
Toytec CO - settled to around 2.5" (will crank up a little soon)
Metal Tech LT Stage 2 (w/modified Daystar rear spacers)
Goodyear Duratracs (275/70/18 - mounted with full vehicle weight sit right at 33" tall)

*Note - no wheel spacers, trimmed mud flaps/front wheel well/inner front bumper (not pictured), but setup causes slight rubbing on upper control arm at full lock, both directions.

**Note - running boards put back on as a deal with the wifey until I get proper sliders built/installed.

***Note - still fine tuning flex/articulation (e.g. sway bars/links) but that's probably better kept to a build thread. I'll start that soon.

I got ICONS 2.5 front coilovers and 2.0 rear shocks and coils and it feels like a barge I am not impressed

Looks good! Can't wait for my tires to finally get here and have my wheels mounted. How was the rubbing on the tires? Did you trim the fronts and push the fender liners in?

Thanks! I am really happy with it.

I haven't seen any rubbing on the fender liner but it does hit the control arm when turning far. I don't have the money right now to buy wheels spacers or control arms, so until then I'm just going to have to deal with it.

To be totally honest, it rides better than stock. It's almost plush - no joke. I know it's good because my wife hated my heavy duty springs on my Pathfinder build and now she actually enjoys riding in the 4Runner when we take it places.

Went with the Bilstein height adjustable shocks and brought the front up 2.5". Rides really smooth, 4Runner had 185K miles on the old shocks. I think I am done with the exterior for now though.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I did the 5100 front and rear and I'm still on oem springs. Rides perfect, not stiff at all. Firmer over the old stuff but a very comfortable ride. If I could do it again I would have done this a long time ago.

Got the bilstein 5100s installed all around (front at .85) a few months back. Kept my stock springs for now, thinking of going with OME coils when its time to get a new set of tires. They ride great paired with the stock springs, and set at .85 the truck is just about level. Tires are 265/65 BFG Rugged Terrains.

Just got my duratrac 255/75r17's mounted onto my powder coated FJ wheels. I am EXTREMELY happy about how it turned out. I didn't want to spend a ton on tires and I didn't want my gas mileage to drop by a ton. The duratracs fill the wheel wells without sacrificing too much gas mileage or the wallet. Since the FJ wheels stick out more I still get some poke beyond the fenders. Went from mom-mobile to badass today ha.

Just put on FN Five Star 17-inch wheels in black with brand new Hankook DynaPro M/T 285/70 tires. I moved 2 of my old tires (same Hankook M/Ts) and Mickey Thompson rims to my new XVenture trailer.
