Went With 265/70R17 Duratracs As Per Lots Of Fellow Member's Recommendations.


Had To Get A Shot Of Her On The Way Up To Winter Park This Weekend :lookout:



Now My Focus Will Be On What To Do For Lift And Suspension.

After adding brand new FJ struts/springs with daystar 2.5/1.5 the truck seems to be nose high just a tad. Thought it would level out but I might have to add some more lift in the back. What do you guys recommend? I was thinking maybe a 2" cornfed spacer..

Or maybe the toytec superflex rear springs, how much lift do these grant on average? Their website claims 3-3.75" lift.

New Project - '06 Sport Edition V8 4x4

I loved the OME/BFG setup on my 2001 that I'm going the same route with the 2006. Currently waiting for fedex to arrive with my Old Man Emu lift and spidertrax spacers from Toytec. Installing the lift tomorrow, followed by a set of BFG A/T KO2 275/70r17. Will upload pics afterwards! Can't wait

I'm getting a set of KO2 275/70r17 tomorrow! They look great on your truck. I had the A/T KO's on my 2001 4Runner and loved them. Will follow-up with pics tomorrow.

Finally got my lift to where I'm happy with it, so I'm gonna go ahead and post some pictures and specs for y'all.

How do you like the BFG's in 275/70r17? Are you happy with the size? Any regrets not going with the 285's?

I'm planning to get the 275's tomorrow after I finish installing my OME lift. I'm afraid the 285's will rub a lot and I'll have to trim more than I'd want to.

I'd love to hear your opinion!

Here's my 2008 Limited. The front has Tacoma TRD springs and struts with 1/2" Toytec spacers. The rear is FJ springs with Daystar 1 1/2" spacers. The wheels are 2014 Trail take off's with 265/70/17 Dueler H/T's.

What rear shocks are you running? I've been looking at different setups and decided on the Tacoma swap. But now I think I want to go higher before I get the Tacoma stuff on. I just don't want to over extent the rear shocks. The ones I'd be using are the factory Bilstiens from the trd Tacoma I got the front struts/springs from

I'm running the TRD Tacoma shocks on the rear and haven't had any issues. If you are considering more lift than 1.5 to 2 inches, it might not be a bad idea to invest in the 5100's just to make sure shock travel won't be an issue. On road, my 4runner has a smoother ride than my wife's Venza.

Sweet. I have trd Tacoma front struts and springs and I want to put s daystar 1" net lift spacer on top. The. With stock springs out back, put trd Tacoma shocks on and then a 1.5" daystar. That's all the higher I'll go, I just don't want to run into shock travel issues like you mentioned
