Finally got my wheels mounted up. Been waiting a while to pull the trigger on these. I've had the lift on for a while and its just a spacer lift up front and raised the rear up with adjusting the air bags. There are no good options with XREAS and air bags in the rear for lifting this thing. One of these days I'll buck up and get it all removed and get a nice lift on it.
Anyways on to the pics.

Those bmf wheels are really nice. I just removed my xreas and put bilstiens with a spacer on top for the mean time
It was bilstiens and fj coils off a trail team I got an extra half inch of lift in the front from doing this

I have 295/70/17 on it but I had to trim the front bumper an plastic

As far as your build. Read, read, and read again all the threads on these. Look at pictures too. I did this myself and every step required more research, more parts, more money. There are some youtube videos of guys putting on Tacoma UCAs and coil overs. Turns out the Tacoma front end and 4runner front end are the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbsTJgb6S_c

Issues that slowed me down in order. Front and rear sway bar links/rear brake lines/19mm wrenches and sockets.

Best tool/time savor - impact drill - use sockets as mush as possible and ratchet wrenches.

Thanks for the heads up....I am actually a mechanic and have all the tools i should need. I lifted my 2003 GMC sierra which has a much more involved set up than this one. Actually needed a plasma cutter for that one. I'm thinking this one will be a walk in the park.
Out of curiosity what slowed you down on the sway bar links?
brake lines are always easier when you have a friend around to help you bleed the system correctly as well.

I have a question about 275/65/18 lift with limited wheels

i have a 4runner 2006 limited , i have bilsteins at 0,85 front and FJ cruiser coils in all corners , and i love it , but i want to upgrade to 275/65/18 Duratrac (Now i am running 265/60/18)
And i dont want to use wheels spacers at the front ! i dont care about trimming the fender ...but can i have problems with this tires rubing in the interior (Uca) ??

I have an 08 with the 18"limited rims , I have my bilsteins at .85 with toytec coils and I run 275-70-18 ko2's. i didn't have to trim anything, just move the fender liners forward. I also don't have wheel spacers and no rubbing on the uca, only about a half inch or room but no rubbing . Hope this helps a little . Been trying to figure out how to post pics but tapa a talk is giving me a hard time

Figured out how to post a pic finally... After fixing a few problems with the 4Runner in the past few months ,I finally got around to getting my lift installed that I purchased like 5 months ago. Went with the bilstein/toytec 3" lift and picked up ko2's in 275-70-18's. Really like how it drives and looks . Now just trying to decide if I wanna plasti dip the wheels black or not.

Looks really good. I personally like it as it is, but i think plastidip would look good too.

The beauty of plastidip is that it is (moderately) easy to remove. I say try it and decide for yourself!

I ordered the $23 eBay ash tray kit, then realized I already have enough projects lining up for the Runner. I have a CB antenna, PA speaker, USB plugs, uniball UCA's, all ready for install. Also my Icon kit preparing to be shipped!

Sway bar links. The front end links were too long and the rear ended up too short. I took the sway bars off for a few days, but that was short lived. Had to order adjustable sway bar links for front and rear... problem solved. Probably could have run stock links, but it just did not look right.

The brake lines were easy, went ahead and did the front ones too. Bleeding the brakes is sooo easy on these 4runners. Had my 7 year old pushing the brake pedal down while I worked the bleeders.

yeah, I had to notch out the cross member so that the front lift "cradle/cross member" would fit on. its a normal occurance with the 6" lift kits for those model trucks.

Same tires I'm looking at next. What kind of gas mileage are you getting with them? I currently have that size cooper st maxx and get around 16 combined.

Hey Jsmith, I don't know how much I trust my mpg mileage thing but it's usually between 16-17 mpg. When I had my stock size tires it was staying around 18-19

I don't smoke. The door broke on my factory one and I couldn't find a replacement for it. It would also be nice to have the extra socket.

I have Exactly the same Runner in the same color , I love the plastic dip black mate with the titanium grey pain ....and already 6 months and paint is good ...

Anybody have or seen 265/70/17 tires on 8.5 wheels with -6 offset or something of similar width and spacing (2 inches wider than stock)? I'm thinking about this on my 06 but don't want to run into any surprise issues, such as rubbing or it looks dumb.

Sold it a few years ago... but here was my 4th gen. Plan on doing a similar build with my new TRD Pro.
