I am currently running Bilstein 5100's all around with rear FJ springs and stock springs up front. I couldnt find a set of front springs for a good enough deal before I put the other stuff on. I also recently picked up a 1.5" rear toytec spacer off craigslist for $20. I didnt want to go the spacer route but I found a good deal and figured why not, if I dont like it I can take it off and sell it.
Now that I have that and the FJ rear springs I want to find a set of springs for the front before I put the spacers on. What would you guys recommend? I know I get 1" give or take from the FJ springs in the rear and 1.5" with the spacer when its on, and want the truck to be as level as possible. What do you guys think would be a good choice for front springs and setting to put Bilsteins at? I have looked at OME, Toytec, etc and would more than likely like to stick with those brands or OEM.

Save your money for some coilovers and just do it right and skip all the baby steps and wasted dollars..ask many of us how we know and what we would do different if we were to do it again. Save just a little longer and do it once.
As of now you could be sitting level with what you have in the rear and front already just put your front 5100's on the highest perch and your level..walla!!
Pretty much gonna feel and look just the same as any spring set your gonna waste a 120-180 bucks on save yourself another 500 along with the money for springs and you could pick up some decent coilovers or you could even do what they call a "coilover" using 5100's and I believe it's either one of (Boss) or (Toytec) model springs and top mount component but yeah there is a kit you can buy to do it or built already for you that's fairly cheap.

Nah, you can do the spacer to get the rear lifted to be even with 5100's on the top perch. Cruise that set up since it is good and does the job...well. I'm running it and I beat it and put it through the ringer, so until you and me find a deal on coilovers..

I like it, looks good. Are those FX pro rims the same as the TRD PRO rims???

Thanks. The fx pros are from Fn wheels and are made to look very similar to the oem trds, but the trds are 7" wide with a positive offset and the fx pros are 8" with zero offset.

That is interesting... i had heard about the 7" width with the TRD and a lot of folks were puzzled by it.

Blacked out trim
What did you use to black out your trim badge and I think grill, was it that plastidip stuff? My 4runner is the same color and I like how that looks actually, I have been thinking about just never got around to it. I would also need to do something to black out my stock rims as well though.

Yep, it's plasti dip. Stuff is super easy to use, the trick is to do a bunch of light coats. That way it wont run, and it will be easy to take off if you have to redo it if needed. My dip is 4 years old, I had to redo the front bumper this year due to rocks making holes in it but the wheels are holding up great. I filled in the spots where the old weights were that you can see in that pic.

Awesome I have been thinking of giving it a try I will now. Luckily discount put the weights that stick inside my rim so I do not get more corrosion from salt from the clip on ones, and it looks way better.
