Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Hello, This is my first post! Here's my specs:

2005 SR5 V-6 4x4 - 884 OME (front)/ Toytec Superflex 2" (rear) Bilstein 5100's, Cooper Discoverer ATP 255/75R/17

Still has factory rake...I'm trying to decide if it's too much or not. Rides WONDERFUL on and off road.

U have 5100's up front too? The Toytecs must have more lift than the OME895E rears. I have 884's and 5100's in front and no rake.

Unfortunately, I don't own any Datsuns, but I wish I did.

I do have 5100's in the front and they're set to the 0" setting to avoid pre-loading the 884's and to minimize stress on the cv's. I came really close to getting the 895e's but read some threads where people were criticizing them for being too stiff. Have you found that to be an issue? I may still swap the Toytec's out, but I tow a pop-up trailer and want to see if they settle a little. Thanks for the reply!

That's why I mentioned it ..mmm.
You flipped/rotated yours steering/tie rods ..but then again I have play in my driver side tie rod which was new I installed moogs on both sides just before my last trip.
So really it's rather hard to say are you high or am I low.
But I will fix mine this week and take it back in to see what happens then

What wheels are those?

Can you keep us posted on how you like those Exo grapplers?

Wheels are XD301 Turbine 17x9 -12. They are new on the market, basically the XD798 Addict design but without all the blingy fake bolts and a lower price tag.

I went with the Exo grapplers last minute over the Duratracs to try something new. I don't wheel the mall crawler too much but when I do I'll post up some feedback. I mainly got them so I wouldn't be regretting have tiny AT's on a long trip to Colorado this summer.

I installed the Bilstein 5100 all the way around and am running the struts one notch from the top. Also have 265/70/17 Hankook Dynapro's with Spidertrax spacers. Love the look and ride but am currently looking for some FJ springs to swap out and get another inch or so.

Thanks! As far as I know it is and yea I've stepped back a few times and thought the same myself. May donate it to nascar they'd probably get some serious downforce from it lol

That wing is from the 06 to 09 4runner. The 03-05 were flatter on the top.

Oh my god! I just looked at some others and WHY IS MINE SO BIG! I'm immediately self conscious about what appears to be a tail from a killer whale on the back of my 4Runner. It's being removed today, thanks for pointing it out. ����

I really like the 895E's. They don't seem overly stiff. The only thing I have to compare them to is stock, though. I also haven't ridden in the backseat either.

Get a Datsun dammit! Lol. I have a 2dr 510 and a 521 pickup. So much fun.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I think Toyota just put the extra height to direct more air down the rear glass to keep it clear. I don't particularly care for 4runners or any SUV for that matter, without the spoiler.

OMG DONT TAKE IT OFF! Terrible idea unless you're parked in front of a body shop. They're not just holes you can plug with rubber grommets there's a slide fastener deal under there after you take off the two bolts. I pulled one side, had a minor heart attack and immediately re fastened it. On second thought, this spoiler looks fantastic!

I have an 05 sport edition and mine looks the same. I actually like the way it looks. Only issue is if I put my big 30' Extension ladder on top it tends to hit the spoiler on bumps...

After trolling for ages, I can finally post here! Thanks to my hermano @NWMontanaMan for the help with the 3/2 cornfed install! Met up in Portland to visit family, but found time to work on the truck. Had Discount Tires mount the BFG AT KO2 285/70/17's on the Pro Comp 7069's, then after a longer than expected lift install, drove it over to the guys at Goin Straight Alignment. Highly recommend them to anyone in the area. Rides amazingly with the lift and new shoes!

The one on my 08 wasn't like this. It was pretty much flat on top and I'm 99.9% sure it was the factory installed unit.

5100's at 3rd notch up with FJ springs up front (around 2.5" overall) and SPC arms. FJ springs with 1.5" Daystar spacer and 5100's out back. It's been this way for over 90k now. Planning some bumpers in the near future so I will probably upgrade to some stronger springs to handle the weight, maybe even some nice coilovers. Tires are Cooper ST Maxx 255/80/17.

Lol, no drama honestly I just got out of the Army and I've been doing everything I can find around the house and on the 4Runner looking to occupy my time before I start my new job. You just provided me with an opportunity to have something else to do... Until I realized it was a horrible idea lol. No worries
